I am sooo loving Chrisette Michele at the moment. Epiphany is one of my favourite albums right now, I could jam to it all day. Her voice is so soulful and she is definitely high up there with the Jill Scott, Marsha Ambrosius etc. Check out my favourite song from the album...

Aqua Sheko the latest trend and Balans for dinner ..... ME LIKEY

On Saturday I met up with a couple of girlfriends and had a fantastic day.

Sam and I went to Balans for an early dinner/ late lunch meal http://www.balans.co.uk/

Balans is one of my favourite spots, I even have a loyalty card!! I had a burger and handcut chips with a salad, the burger was cooked to perfection with no blood oozing from the burger meat.  The handcut chips were divine, they were not too oily neither were they too dry. This is the reason I always enjoy balans, they take pride in the food they serve and to top it all off the staff are oh so very delightful.  My favourite dish is their seafood jambalaya with scallops, prawns, chorizo sausage and pure goodness hmmmmmmm. They also do mouth watering Bangers and Mash, the bangers are wild boar and they taste so yummylicious.

If you around High Street Kensington, Soho or Westfield  I recommend you try out the restaurant , they also have branches outside Central London.

The fun part of the day was the fish pedicure at Aqua Sheko http://www.aquasheko.co.uk/main.html. Sam and I met up with Sophie for a fish pedicure which was absolutely tremendous. One of the greatest things I have done in ages.  The little Garra Rufa fishes nibbled on my feet, and left my feet feeling very soft and healthy. At first it felt like pins and needles and then it tickled but after a while the sensation just felt relaxing. Sam on the other hand was petrified. It took two staff members and 15 min to get her feet in the water, and she was screaming and crying out but in the end she managed to leave her feet in water for 25 minutes.

I really enjoyed myself and I am sure the girls did too. I would definitely recommend visiting a fish spa, it isn't something to be scared of because the fish will not turn into Piranha...or will they hmmmm.

Oh Shnnnnnapppp..... Miss Stone is nicked???

Angie Stone-was arrested yesterday due to driving with a suspended license.


She was allegedly caught speeding in Georgia and was pulled over by the coppers.   Ms. Stone was booked on both the speeding charge and the suspended license charge and released an hour later.

I sure do love me some Angie Stone even though she a bad mama shut your mouth is a criminal. Watch my throw backs below;

Unemployment....Sm(d)h

I am back again, I am pretty sure that not many people read my blog but this does not stop me from writing.  I really would like to confront the issue of unemployment and state how ridiculous this so called “end of recession” is due to the high rate of unemployment amongst the youth.  Apparently the government says that the recession ended last year but for young people it has not ended.  As a graduate I am one of the ‘lost generations’ that has been deeply affected by the recession.  I was looking for a job the other day and I went on the Reed website. Whilst I was browsing through the graduate positions I came across a role that had 755 applicants. How is it possible for anyone to get a job when it has come to this?  The total number of under 25s not in employment is close to the 1 million mark and this is under 25s alone.   

In my opinion I don’t think that the big businesses and the government are doing anything to help this generation. We are just a talked about statistic and it seems there is no resolution and an end to our battle. University seems to have been a very expensive childminder for us graduates. We are all in debt and there isn’t a way of coming out of it because no job=no money. 

I could try and find solutions or offer positive comforting words, but this will not be realistic. Personally I feel that the best way forward is creating your own role, employing yourself means taking charge of your own life.  I think we should all take a whack at it, there isn’t much to lose!

I recently discovered satchels and I am really loving them. Cambridgesatchel.com has these really colourful and multi-toned bags. I think they are so passe and the latest must have fashion accessory. I would definitely partner the bag with a funky skater dress and some pumps  or a ditsy skirt to make it a bit more fun and flirty. If you want a boyish look you can partner a satchel with skinny legs, a blazer and a funky bow tie!!
